My 9+ years career spans Software, Internet, and Publishing Industries in India, Europe, US, and Middle East Asia. I am passionate about hi-tech Product Marketing and Management. In the tech world have worked at Quark Inc. (www.quark.com), Macromedia (now Adobe www.adobe.com), Winsoft (www.winsoft.fr) and am currently working as a Product Manager with Yahoo! (www.yahoo.com). For the initial years of my career, I worked with a world-wide Non-Profit organization SRF www.yogananda-srf.org in its publishing division.
In this blog I will cover strategy and management issues related with Brands, Markets, People, Products, and Businesses of internet and technology companies. I will also write reviews of interesting books I read and some topical notes for individuals new to the field of business and marketing — especially in the Techology industry. All thoughts on this blog are mine and dont represent any company or organization. I am sharing these thoughts for the benefit of others. Writing them is also helping me refine my own ideas through the processes of reflection, editing, and posting. In my free time, I like to read books that range from Dilbert to management, meditation and mysticism. I also like to cook, hit the gym (whenever I can), go on quiet vacations to lovely places around the world, do some volunteer work and polish my singing skills when i am alone in the bathroom! I totally love delicious food and my favorites are Indian, Lebanese, Greek, and Chinese.
I grew up in the historic and peaceful city of Jaipur and did my schooling at St Xavier. I hold a Bachelors (honors) degree in Physics from University of Rajasthan, and a Post Graudate degree in Marketing and Systems Management from IMT, Ghaziabad www.imt.edu.
I am currently based in Bangalore, India.
